Description
These crispy, sweet banana chips with a dash of cinnamon are the perfect healthy snack! Easy to make with minimal ingredients, they’ll satisfy your sweet cravings in no time.
Ingredients
- 2 firm, ripe bananas (peeled and sliced thinly into rounds)
- 1 tbsp melted butter or coconut oil
- 1 tbsp white sugar (or coconut sugar for a healthier alternative)
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
Slice the Bananas: Peel and slice the bananas into thin rounds, about ⅛ inch thick for even cooking.
Prepare the Coating: In a small bowl, combine cinnamon and sugar. Coat the banana slices with melted butter or coconut oil, then sprinkle evenly with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3-5 minutes.
Cook the Banana Chips: Arrange the banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy. Keep an eye on them towards the end to prevent burning.
Cool and Enjoy: Let the banana chips cool on a wire rack to crisp up further. Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
Notes
- For a savory-sweet twist, add a light sprinkle of sea salt before air frying.
- If you’d like crunchier chips, you can cook them a little longer or slice the bananas thinner.
