Ingredients

  1. 1 lb breakfast sausage
  2. 1/4 cup flour
  3. 2 cups milk
  4. Salt, to taste
  5. Pepper, to taste
  6. Pillsbury Grands Frozen Biscuits (not canned)

Instructions

  • Brown the sausage in a large pan on medium heat. Do not drain the grease.
  • Mix in the 1/4 cup flour, stirring until the flour is fully absorbed and you can no longer see any white flour.
  • Add 2 cups of milk, stirring constantly.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Continue cooking on medium heat until the mixture starts to bubble.
  • Reduce heat to low, and let the gravy thicken.
  • Remove from heat and serve over hot, baked Pillsbury Grands Frozen Biscuits.

Notes

  • Make sure not to use canned biscuits—Pillsbury Grands Frozen Biscuits are the best choice for this recipe.
  • For a thicker gravy, cook a little longer. For a thinner gravy, add more milk.
