Description
This creamy, melt-in-your-mouth Fantasy Fudge is a classic treat with semi-sweet chocolate chips, marshmallow crème, and crunchy walnuts. The perfect combination of smooth and nutty, it’s a holiday favorite
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 cups granulated sugar
- ¾ cup margarine (BlueBonnet brand used)
- ⅔ cup evaporated milk
- 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips (Nestle Toll House brand used)
- 7 ounces jar marshmallow crème (Jet-Puff brand used)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions
- Line a 9×13-inch straight-sided baking pan with parchment paper, allowing extra paper to overhang the sides for easy removal.
- In a 3-4 quart saucepan over medium heat, combine the granulated sugar, margarine, and evaporated milk. Stir constantly, and cook for 5-8 minutes or until the mixture reaches a hard (or rolling) boil.
- Once the mixture reaches a hard boil, cook for exactly 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
- Add the semi-sweet chocolate chips and stir until melted and smooth.
- Stir in the marshmallow crème and vanilla extract until the fudge mixture is smooth, with no marshmallow streaks remaining.
- Add the chopped walnuts and stir to combine.
- Pour the fudge into the prepared baking pan and spread into an even layer.
- Let the fudge cool completely before lifting it out of the pan using the parchment paper. Slice into 1-inch squares and enjoy!
Notes
- Allow the fudge to cool fully to achieve the perfect texture for slicing.
- You can also add other mix-ins like mini marshmallows or toffee bits if desired.
