This One-Pan Ground Meat and Potato Skillet is a hearty, comforting meal that’s perfect for busy nights! With savory ground meat, tender potatoes, and a creamy sauce, it’s a family favorite. Top with cheese for extra gooey goodness!

Ingredients

Scale
  1. 1 pound ground meat (beef, turkey, or chicken)
  2. 12 small potatoes, diced (adjust to your preference)
  3. 1 can cream soup (mushroom, chicken, or celery work great)
  4. 3/4 cup milk (or substitute with water and sour cream mixed together)
  5. Seasonings of your choice (salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, etc.)
  6. 1/2 to 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite)

Instructions

  • Brown the Meat: In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground meat, breaking it into small pieces as it cooks. Drain any excess fat if needed.
  • Add Potatoes: Stir in the diced potatoes with the browned meat. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are tender (about 15–20 minutes).
  • Add Soup and Milk: Once the potatoes are tender, reduce the heat to low. Stir in the can of cream soup and milk (or the sour cream and water mixture). Mix well.
  • Season to Taste: Add your preferred seasonings (salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, etc.) and stir to combine.
  • Sprinkle with Cheese: Top the mixture with shredded cheese, cover with a lid, and let it cook for a few minutes until the cheese is melted.
  • Serve: Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can experiment with different soups (such as cream of celery or cream of chicken) for variety.
  • Frozen veggies can be added for a more balanced meal.
  • Feel free to use any ground meat (beef, turkey, chicken) or adjust seasoning to your liking.
