It’s so delicious, it might just lead to a proposal! Perfect for date nights, special occasions, or simply when you’re craving a comforting, flavorful meal.

Ingredients

For the pasta:
• Pasta (fettuccine or penne)
• Olive oil
• Chicken breast, sliced thin
• Salt
• Pepper
• Italian seasoning

For the sauce:
• Garlic, minced
• Chicken broth
• Heavy cream
• Parmesan cheese, grated
• Sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
• Red pepper flakes (optional)

  1. For garnish:
    • Fresh basil

Instructions

  • Cook the Pasta: Prepare the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • Cook the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until golden and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
  • Sauté Garlic: In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Make the Sauce: Add chicken broth, heavy cream, grated Parmesan cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, and red pepper flakes. Stir and simmer the mixture for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Combine Everything: Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Add the cooked pasta and toss everything together until coated with the sauce.
  • Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with fresh basil for garnish and serve immediately while warm.

Notes

  • Adjust the red pepper flakes according to your spice tolerance.
  • Swap sun-dried tomatoes for cherry tomatoes if desired for a fresh twist.
  • This dish pairs wonderfully with garlic bread or a crisp side salad!
