    1. 1 box Pillsbury ready-bake pie crust (comes with 2 rolled pie crusts)

For the Filling:

      • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
      • 1/2 pound ground beef
      • 1/2 pound Italian sausage (optional)
      • 1 cup pepperoni slices
      • 1 1/2 cups pizza sauce or marinara
      • 1 cup shredded cheddar or provolone cheese
      • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
      • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
      • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

For the Topping:

    1. 3 tablespoons melted butter (to brush on top crust)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Filling:
    • Cook the ground beef and Italian sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat and set aside.
    • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Assemble the Pizza Pie:
    • Roll out the dough to fit a deep-dish pie pan or a deep skillet.
    • Layer the bottom with half of the shredded mozzarella cheese.
    • Add a layer of cooked ground beef, Italian sausage, and pepperoni slices.
    • Pour the pizza sauce evenly over the meat and sprinkle with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes.
    • Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese and another layer of pepperoni slices.
    • Place the second pie crust over the top. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder.
  • Bake the Pizza Pie:
    • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
    • Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
