Tender chicken breasts are cooked in a creamy gravy made from chicken gravy mix, cream of chicken soup, and a touch of seasoning. Serve it over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles for a meal that will please the whole family.

- 2 packets chicken gravy mix
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 can of water
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
- 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb)
- 1/2 cup sour cream
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, black pepper, and paprika. Place them in the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, whisk together the water, chicken gravy packets, and cream of chicken soup until smooth.
- Pour the mixture over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours (about 4.5 hours recommended).
- Once done, carefully remove the chicken from the slow cooker, and shred or cut as desired.
- Whisk the sour cream into the slow cooker until smooth.
- Serve the chicken with the gravy mixture. Season with additional salt and pepper, if desired.
- Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, stuffing, or egg noodles.
Notes
- For an extra creamy texture, you can adjust the sour cream quantity.
- If you prefer a thicker gravy, let it cook for a little longer after adding the sour cream.
- You can also use bone-in chicken breasts if preferred, but boneless skinless works best for easy shredding
