Ingredients

Scale
  1. 2 packets chicken gravy mix
  2. 1 can cream of chicken soup
  3. 1 can of water
  4. 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  5. 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  6. 1/4 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
  7. 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb)
  8. 1/2 cup sour cream

Instructions

  • Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, black pepper, and paprika. Place them in the slow cooker.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the water, chicken gravy packets, and cream of chicken soup until smooth.
  • Pour the mixture over the chicken.
  • Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours (about 4.5 hours recommended).
  • Once done, carefully remove the chicken from the slow cooker, and shred or cut as desired.
  • Whisk the sour cream into the slow cooker until smooth.
  • Serve the chicken with the gravy mixture. Season with additional salt and pepper, if desired.
  • Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, stuffing, or egg noodles.

Notes

  • For an extra creamy texture, you can adjust the sour cream quantity.
  • If you prefer a thicker gravy, let it cook for a little longer after adding the sour cream.
  • You can also use bone-in chicken breasts if preferred, but boneless skinless works best for easy shredding
