Description

A creamy and hearty comfort dish made with ground beef, pasta shells, and cheddar cheese. Perfect for a family dinner or a cozy weeknight meal!

Ingredients

Scale
  1. 1 tablespoon olive oil
  2. 1 pound ground beef
  3. 1 onion, chopped
  4. 2 cloves garlic, minced
  5. 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
  6. 1 (10 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  7. 1/2 cup milk
  8. 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  9. 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  10. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  11. 1/2 pound small pasta shells (like ditalini or acini di pepe)
  12. 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • Brown ground beef: Heat olive oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.
  • Sauté vegetables: Add onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Combine ingredients: Add diced tomatoes, cream of mushroom soup, milk, parsley, oregano, and black pepper to the skillet. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Cook pasta: Add pasta to the skillet and cook until tender, about 8-10 minutes.
  • Stir in cheese: Stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and bubbly.
  • Serve: Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can add other vegetables to the dish, such as carrots, celery, or bell peppers.
  • For a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce.
  • Top with additional cheese, chopped fresh parsley, or a dollop of sour cream.
  • Use different pasta shapes, such as macaroni, rotini, or shells.
