Ingredients

Scale
  1. For the Dumplings:

    • 2 large apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled and sliced
    • 1 can (8 count) crescent roll dough
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
    • 1/2 cup brown sugar

    • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1/8 teaspoon salt

    For the Caramel Sauce:

    1. 1/2 cup brown sugar
    2. 1/2 cup unsalted butter
    3. 1/4 cup heavy cream
    4. 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat and Prep:

    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  • Serve:

    • Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an extra treat!

Notes

  • You can use any variety of apples, but Granny Smith or Honeycrisp are ideal for balancing sweetness and tartness.
  • Feel free to adjust the amount of cinnamon based on your taste preferences.
  • For a festive touch, sprinkle some chopped pecans over the dumplings before baking.
