Description

Rotel Sausage and Cream Cheese Crescents are savory, spicy, and irresistibly creamy bite-sized pastries made with flaky crescent dough and a bold sausage-cheese filling—perfect for parties, game day, or snack time.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can (10 oz) Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 package (8 oz) crescent roll dough
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, drained Rotel, cooked sausage, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, chili powder, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles.
  4. Place about a tablespoon of the sausage mixture in the center of each triangle. Optionally, top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Roll up each crescent from the wide end to the point, pinching the edges to seal.
  6. Arrange the crescents on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Let the crescents cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Make sure the sausage is fully cooked and cooled slightly before mixing.
  • Use parchment paper for easy cleanup and to prevent sticking.
  • Try adding chopped green onions or jalapeños for an extra kick.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container and reheated in the oven or air fryer.
