Rotel Sausage and Cream Cheese Crescents are savory, spicy, and irresistibly creamy bite-sized pastries made with flaky crescent dough and a bold sausage-cheese filling—perfect for parties, game day, or snack time.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 can (10 oz) Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained
- 1 lb breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
- 1 package (8 oz) crescent roll dough
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, drained Rotel, cooked sausage, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, chili powder, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and well combined.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles.
- Place about a tablespoon of the sausage mixture in the center of each triangle. Optionally, top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Roll up each crescent from the wide end to the point, pinching the edges to seal.
- Arrange the crescents on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let the crescents cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Make sure the sausage is fully cooked and cooled slightly before mixing.
- Use parchment paper for easy cleanup and to prevent sticking.
- Try adding chopped green onions or jalapeños for an extra kick.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container and reheated in the oven or air fryer.
