Description

Refreshing, zesty, and incredibly soothing, this Lemon Ginger Iced Green Tea with Honey is a perfect drink for hot days or whenever you need a calming beverage. Packed with antioxidants and a delicious blend of flavors, it’s a drink that’s both energizing and healthy!

Ingredients

Scale
  1. 4 cups water

  2. 3 green tea bags

  3. 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, sliced

  4. 1/4 cup honey (or to taste)

  5. 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

  6. Ice cubes

  7. Lemon slices (optional, for garnish

Instructions

  • Boil Water: In a medium pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat once boiling.

  • Steep the Tea and Ginger: Add the green tea bags and fresh ginger slices to the hot water. Cover and let steep for 5-7 minutes, adjusting the steeping time based on your preferred tea strength.

  • Sweeten with Honey: Remove the tea bags and ginger slices. Stir in the honey while the tea is still warm to ensure it dissolves completely.

  • Add Lemon Juice: Stir in the freshly squeezed lemon juice for a bright, zesty flavor.

  • Chill the Tea: Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then transfer it to the refrigerator to chill for at least 1 hour.

  • Serve: Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled tea over the ice. Garnish with lemon slices for an extra touch, if desired.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of honey depending on your sweetness preference.

  • For a stronger ginger flavor, you can let the ginger steep for a longer time.

  • This iced tea is also a great base for making iced tea cocktails if you want to get creative!
