Description

This Zesty Lemon Butter Fish Fillet features flaky, tender white fish topped with a tangy lemon butter sauce, making for a fresh, light, and flavorful dish. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a special occasion

Ingredients

Scale
  1. For the Fish:

    • 4 white fish fillets (cod, tilapia, or haddock)

    • 1 teaspoon paprika

    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

    • 1 teaspoon onion powder

    • 2 tablespoons olive oil

    • Salt and pepper, to taste

    For the Lemon Butter Sauce:

    1. 4 tablespoons butter

    2. 2 tablespoons olive oil

    3. Juice and zest of 2 lemons

    4. 4 cloves garlic, minced

    5. 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

    6. Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Preparing the Fish:

    • Season the Fish: Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels. Rub both sides of the fillets with olive oil. Season evenly with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

    • Cook the Fish: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the fish fillets and cook for 3–4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and flaky. Remove the fish from the skillet and set aside.

  • Preparing the Lemon Butter Sauce:

    • Make the Sauce: Using the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add butter and olive oil to the pan. Once the butter has melted, stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.

    • Add Lemon and Seasoning: Stir in the lemon juice, lemon zest, and parsley. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer gently for 2–3 minutes.

  • Assemble and Serve:

    • Place the cooked fish fillets on a serving platter.

    • Drizzle the warm lemon butter sauce over the fillets.

    • Garnish with additional parsley and lemon slices for a vibrant finish.

Notes

  • If using frozen fish fillets, be sure to thaw them thoroughly before cooking.

  • You can serve this dish with steamed vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.

  • Adjust the lemon juice and zest to suit your taste for a more or less zesty flavor.
