Description

These Warm Baked Apple Fritters are soft, golden, and filled with the perfect blend of apples and warm spices. Drizzled with a sweet vanilla glaze, these fritters are a comforting, irresistible treat that’s perfect for any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  1. For the Fritters:

    • 2 cups all-purpose flour

    • 1/4 cup sugar

    • 2 teaspoons baking powder

    • 1/2 teaspoon salt

    • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

    • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

    • 1/2 cup milk

    • 2 large eggs

    • 1 teaspoon vanilla

    • 2 tablespoons melted butter

    • 1 1/2 cups diced apples (about 2 medium apples)

    For the Glaze:

    • 1 cup powdered sugar

    • 23 tablespoons milk

    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg until fully combined.

  • In a separate bowl, whisk the milk, eggs, vanilla, and melted butter until smooth.

  • Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing gently until just combined. Fold in the diced apples.

  • Drop spoonfuls of the batter onto the prepared baking sheet, shaping them into small rounds.

  • Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  • While the fritters are baking, make the glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.

  • Once the fritters are cool, drizzle or dip them in the glaze. Let the glaze set before serving.

Notes

  • Make sure the fritters are fully cooled before drizzling the glaze to prevent it from melting off.

  • These fritters can be served warm or at room temperature.
