Description

This Vanilla Cinnamon Milk Tea combines the rich flavors of black tea with the sweet and aromatic notes of vanilla and cinnamon, creating a warm, soothing drink perfect for cozy moments. Ideal for chilly days or a relaxing evening

Ingredients

Scale
  1. 2 cups milk (dairy or plant-based)
  2. 1 tablespoon loose black tea or 2 black tea bags
  3. 1 cinnamon stick or ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  4. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  5. 1 tablespoon honey or preferred sweetener
  6. Optional: ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions

  • Heat the Milk: In a saucepan over medium heat, warm the milk until it begins to steam, avoiding boiling.
  • Infuse Tea and Cinnamon: Add the black tea and cinnamon to the steaming milk. Stir gently and let it simmer for 3–5 minutes, depending on your desired strength. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  • Strain the Mixture: Remove the saucepan from heat. Strain out the tea leaves and cinnamon stick using a fine mesh strainer, or remove the tea bags if used.
  • Add Flavorings: Stir in the vanilla extract and honey until fully dissolved. If using ground nutmeg, add it now for extra warmth.
  • Serve: Pour the tea into mugs. For an added touch, garnish with a light dusting of ground cinnamon. Enjoy warm.

Notes

  • You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey according to your taste.
  • For a richer flavor, try using whole milk or a thicker plant-based milk like coconut or oat milk.
  • Adding a pinch of ground nutmeg provides extra warmth and depth to the flavor.
  • If you don’t have a cinnamon stick, ground cinnamon works perfectly too.
