Description

This Lemon Ginger Iced Green Tea is a refreshing, healthy beverage perfect for warm days. Made with fresh ginger, green tea, and a touch of honey, this iced tea is full of antioxidants and natural sweetness. Add a splash of lemon juice for a zesty twist! #IcedGreenTea

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups water
  • 3 green tea bags
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, sliced
  • ¼ cup honey (or to taste)
  • ¼ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Boil Water:
    • In a medium pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat.
  • Steep the Tea and Ginger:
    • Add the green tea bags and fresh ginger slices to the hot water. Cover and let steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea.
  • Sweeten with Honey:
    • Remove the tea bags and ginger slices. Stir in the honey while the tea is still warm to allow it to dissolve completely.
  • Add Lemon Juice:
    • Stir in the freshly squeezed lemon juice.
  • Chill the Tea:
    • Let the tea cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour to chill.
  • Serve:
    • Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled tea over the ice. Garnish with lemon slices if desired, and enjoy!

Notes

  • Adjust the honey according to your taste preference. You can also substitute honey with agave or maple syrup for a different sweetener.
  • If you prefer a stronger ginger flavor, let the ginger steep for an extra 1-2 minutes.
  • This tea can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • For added flavor, consider adding fresh mint or basil leaves as a garnish.
