- 3 green tea bags
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, sliced
- ¼ cup honey (or to taste)
- ¼ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slices for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Boil Water:
- In a medium pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat.
- Steep the Tea and Ginger:
- Add the green tea bags and fresh ginger slices to the hot water. Cover and let steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea.
- Sweeten with Honey:
- Remove the tea bags and ginger slices. Stir in the honey while the tea is still warm to allow it to dissolve completely.
- Add Lemon Juice:
- Stir in the freshly squeezed lemon juice.
- Chill the Tea:
- Let the tea cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour to chill.
- Serve:
- Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled tea over the ice. Garnish with lemon slices if desired, and enjoy!
Notes
- Adjust the honey according to your taste preference. You can also substitute honey with agave or maple syrup for a different sweetener.
- If you prefer a stronger ginger flavor, let the ginger steep for an extra 1-2 minutes.
- This tea can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For added flavor, consider adding fresh mint or basil leaves as a garnish.
