Description

This Zesty Lemon Butter Fish Fillet is a flavorful and light dish that combines tender white fish with a rich, citrusy butter sauce. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner, it’s easy to make and full of fresh flavors!

Ingredients

Scale
  1. For the Fish:

    • 4 fillets of white fish (such as cod, tilapia, or haddock)
    • 1 teaspoon paprika
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1 teaspoon onion powder
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • Salt and black pepper, to taste

    For the Lemon Butter Sauce:

    1. 4 tablespoons butter
    2. 2 tablespoons olive oil
    3. Juice and zest of 2 lemons
    4. 4 cloves garlic, minced
    5. 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
    6. Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Prepare the Fish: Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Coat both sides with olive oil and season with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • Cook the Fish: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the fillets and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until they develop a golden crust and easily flake with a fork. Once cooked, remove the fish from the pan and set aside.
  • Prepare the Lemon Butter Sauce: Lower the heat to medium and, using the same skillet, melt the butter with olive oil. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in the lemon juice, lemon zest, and chopped parsley. Season with salt and black pepper to taste and let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Assemble and Serve: Arrange the cooked fish fillets on a serving platter. Spoon the warm lemon butter sauce over the fillets. Garnish with additional parsley and lemon slices for extra freshness.

Notes

  • You can use any firm white fish, such as cod, haddock, or tilapia.
  • For a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
  • This recipe pairs well with a side of rice, steamed vegetables, or a fresh salad.
