Description

A delicious and hearty sandwich featuring tender ribeye steak, sautéed onions, and a creamy garlic cheese spread all atop crispy French bread. Perfect for any occasion

Ingredients

Scale
  1. 1 French bread loaf
  2. 1 pound Ribeye steak
  3. 1 yellow onion
  4. 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  5. 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  6. 1 tbsp minced garlic
  7. 2 tbsp butter (softened)
  8. 1/2 cup shredded Asiago cheese
  9. 3/4 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  10. 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  11. Provolone cheese slices
  12. Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Prepare the Steak: Thinly slice the ribeye steak. Heat a pan over medium-high heat and cook the steak with the sliced onion and Worcestershire sauce for a few minutes until the steak is cooked to your liking. Set aside.
  • Make the Garlic Cheese Mixture: In a separate bowl, combine the mayonnaise, minced garlic, softened butter, Asiago cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, and Italian seasoning. Mix well.
  • Assemble the Bread: Cut the French bread loaf in half lengthwise. Spread the garlic cheese mixture generously on the cut sides of the bread.
  • Add the Steak and Cheese: Layer the cooked steak and onions on top of the cheese mixture. Top with slices of provolone cheese.
  • Bake: Add salt and pepper to taste, and bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden and crispy.
  • Serve: Slice and serve hot. Enjoy your Steak Garlic Cheese Bread!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can drizzle a little more Worcestershire sauce on the steak while cooking.
  • Feel free to use other types of cheese, like mozzarella or cheddar, if preferred.
