For Garnish:

Instructions
-
Make the Meat Sauce: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Break up the meat as it cooks and drain excess grease.
-
Add the diced onion, green bell peppers, and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened and fragrant.
-
Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, water, oregano, basil, sugar, salt, and pepper. Reduce the heat and simmer gently for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
-
Cook the Spaghetti: While the sauce simmers, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain (don’t rinse).
-
Combine and Serve: Toss the spaghetti with the meat sauce until evenly coated. Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley.
Notes
-
You can use any pasta shape you prefer. Penne or rigatoni work well too.
-
If you prefer a spicier sauce, add a pinch of red pepper flakes during the simmering process.
