This Taco Rice is a simple, flavorful dish packed with seasoned ground beef, salsa, and melted cheddar cheese. It’s the perfect side or main dish for taco night and is ready in just 30 minutes

Ingredients

  1. 1 pound ground beef
  2. 1 packet taco seasoning
  3. 2 cups water
  4. 2 cups Minute Rice, uncooked
  5. 1 cup salsa
  6. 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, brown and crumble the ground beef. Drain any excess grease.
  • Add taco seasoning and water to the skillet, stirring well. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  • Reduce the heat and stir in the uncooked Minute Rice.
  • Cover the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes, or until the rice is tender.
  • Remove the lid and stir in the salsa and shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Turn off the heat and serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can use ground turkey or chicken instead of ground beef for a lighter option.
  • For a spicier kick, use a spicier salsa or add jalapeños to the dish.
  • This can also be topped with sour cream, avocado, or cilantro for extra flavor.
