Description

This Tater Tot Pizza Casserole is the ultimate comfort food! Packed with savory ground beef, gooey mozzarella cheese, and crispy tater tots, it’s a crowd-pleasing dinner the whole family will love. Perfect for busy weeknights or pizza cravings!


Ingredients

  1. 1 lb ground beef

  2. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  3. 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  4. 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  5. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  6. 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  7. 1 cup pizza sauce

  8. 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  9. 1/2 cup pepperoni slices

  10. 1/4 cup black olives, sliced (optional)

  11. 1/4 cup green bell pepper, diced (optional)

  12. 1/4 cup mushrooms, sliced (optional)

  13. 1 (28-ounce) bag frozen tater tots


Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  • In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease.

  • Season the beef with salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir in pizza sauce and remove from heat.

  • Spread the beef mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.

  • Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese over the beef.

  • Arrange tater tots in a single layer on top.

  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until tater tots are golden brown and crispy.

  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, olives, bell pepper, and mushrooms on top.

  • Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, until cheese is melted.

 

  • Let cool for 5 minutes before serving


Notes

  • Feel free to add other pizza toppings such as sausage, bacon, or veggies of your choice.

 

  • For a spicier kick, add some crushed red pepper flakes on top before serving.
