For the Shells:
- 12 jumbo pasta shells
- ½ lb (225g) ground beef
- ½ cup taco sauce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
For Garnish:
- ½ cup sour cream
- ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
Instructions
Cook Pasta:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Cook pasta shells in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare Filling:
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Season with salt and pepper.
- Stir in taco sauce and simmer for 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
Assemble:
- Fill each cooked shell with the beef mixture and arrange in a baking dish, open side up.
- Sprinkle cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
Bake:
- Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve:
- Top each shell with sour cream and chopped cilantro. Serve hot.

- Substitute ground turkey or plant-based meat for a lighter or vegetarian option.
