Description

This Swiss Mushroom Melt Delight features a juicy beef patty, sautéed mushrooms, and creamy Swiss cheese, all tucked between perfectly toasted sourdough or rye bread. It’s the perfect comfort food for mushroom lovers!


Ingredients

  1. 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  2. 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)

  3. 4 slices Swiss cheese

  4. 1 tbsp butter

  5. 4 slices sourdough or rye bread

  6. 1 cup mushrooms (sliced)

  7. 1 tbsp oil (for grilling)

  8. 2 tbsp mayo or garlic aioli

  9. 1 tsp salt

  10. 1 tsp black pepper


Instructions

  • Prepare the Mushrooms: Sauté mushrooms in butter over medium heat until golden brown and tender. Set aside.

  • Cook the Beef Patty: Mix ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Form patties slightly larger than the bread slices and cook in a skillet until browned on both sides.

  • Assemble the Sandwich: Spread a thin layer of mayo (or garlic aioli) on the bread. Place Swiss cheese on both sides, then add the beef patty and sautéed mushrooms.

  • Grill to Perfection: Heat oil in a skillet and grill the sandwich until the bread is golden brown and crispy, flipping carefully.

 

  • Serve: Slice in half and enjoy the gooey, cheesy, crispy delight!


Notes

  • For extra flavor, try adding caramelized onions or a dash of hot sauce to the sandwich.
