Scale
- For the Muffins:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Cinnamon Swirl:
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease with butter.
- Prepare Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Make Cinnamon Sugar: In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon to create the cinnamon swirl mixture.
- Layer the Muffins: Fill each muffin cup halfway with batter. Sprinkle a small amount of cinnamon sugar over the batter. Add another layer of batter to cover the cinnamon sugar.
- Swirl the Mixture: Use a toothpick to gently swirl the cinnamon sugar mixture into the batter for a marbled effect.
- Bake: Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool: Let the muffins cool for 5 minutes in the tin before transferring them to a wire rack.
Notes
- These muffins are best served warm, fresh out of the oven.
