Description
These Cinnamon Roll French Toast Bites combine two breakfast favorites into one irresistible treat — soft, gooey cinnamon rolls turned into golden, bite-sized French toast pieces.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can of refrigerated cinnamon rolls (with icing)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Powdered sugar (optional, for serving)
- Maple syrup or icing from the cinnamon rolls (optional, for serving)
Instructions
- Open the can of refrigerated cinnamon rolls and set the icing aside. Cut each cinnamon roll into bite-sized pieces.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
- Dip each cinnamon roll bite into the egg mixture, coating all sides.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the coated bites in a single layer without overcrowding. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from skillet and place on a serving platter. Drizzle with reserved icing or maple syrup and sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
- For a crispier texture, cook in batches to avoid steaming.
- Serve immediately for best taste and texture.
- You can use flavored icing or add chopped nuts for extra flair.
