- 1 ½ pounds ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 egg
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, sesame oil, soy sauce, brown sugar, gochujang, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, egg, and panko breadcrumbs.
- Mix until well combined, then shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until fully cooked and browned on top.
- In the last 10 minutes of baking, brush extra gochujang mixed with honey over the meatloaf to create a sweet and spicy glaze.
- Once baked, remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes.
- Slice the meatloaf and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- For a milder version, reduce the amount of gochujang.
- Pair with steamed rice or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
