Base:
- 1 cup oat flour (or blended rolled oats)
- ½ cup mashed sweet potato (cooked & cooled)
Binding & Flavor:
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil (melted)
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 175°C (350°F) and line a mini muffin tin with paper liners.
- Mix the Batter: In a bowl, combine oat flour, mashed sweet potato, egg, applesauce, melted coconut oil, and cinnamon (if using). Stir until well combined.
- Fill the Muffin Cups: Spoon the batter into the mini muffin tin, filling each cup about ¾ full.
- Bake: Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool & Serve: Let the muffins cool completely before giving them to your pup.
Storage:
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
- Freeze for up to 2 months and thaw before serving.
Notes
- If your dog is sensitive to cinnamon, omit it from the recipe.
- These treats are soft, making them great for older dogs or puppies.
- You can substitute the oat flour with whole wheat flour if preferred.
