Description

These soft and nutritious Sweet Potato Muffin Treats are packed with fiber-rich sweet potatoes, making them a healthy and delicious snack for your pup! Perfect for training, rewards, or a special homemade treat.


Ingredients

  1. Base:

    • 1 cup oat flour (or blended rolled oats)
    • ½ cup mashed sweet potato (cooked & cooled)

    Binding & Flavor:

    1. 1 egg
    2. ¼ cup unsweetened applesauce
    3. 1 tablespoon coconut oil (melted)
    4. ½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 175°C (350°F) and line a mini muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. Mix the Batter: In a bowl, combine oat flour, mashed sweet potato, egg, applesauce, melted coconut oil, and cinnamon (if using). Stir until well combined.
  3. Fill the Muffin Cups: Spoon the batter into the mini muffin tin, filling each cup about ¾ full.
  4. Bake: Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Cool & Serve: Let the muffins cool completely before giving them to your pup.

Storage:

 

  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
  • Freeze for up to 2 months and thaw before serving.

Notes

  • If your dog is sensitive to cinnamon, omit it from the recipe.
  • These treats are soft, making them great for older dogs or puppies.

 

  • You can substitute the oat flour with whole wheat flour if preferred.
