Ingredients
Scale
- 26–32 ounces frozen meatballs (or homemade meatballs)
- 18 ounces BBQ sauce (use your favorite — spicy works great!)
- ⅓ cup light brown sugar, packed
- ¼ cup butter
Instructions
- Place meatballs in the bowl of your slow cooker.
- In a small saucepan, combine BBQ sauce, brown sugar, and butter. Heat over medium until the butter is melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Pour the sauce over the meatballs and stir to coat evenly.
- Cover and cook on low for 4–6 hours or on high for 2–3 hours, until heated through.
- Stir before serving. Great as an appetizer or over rice for a meal!
Notes
- Use homemade meatballs if you prefer — just pre-cook them before adding to the crockpot.
- Adjust the sweetness or spice by choosing different BBQ sauces.
- Add a dash of hot sauce or cayenne pepper for extra heat.
- Serve on toothpicks for easy party bites or over mashed potatoes, rice, or in a hoagie roll.
