Description

This Stuffed Seafood Bread Bowl is the ultimate indulgence, filled with shrimp, lump crab meat, and a creamy, cheesy blend of flavors. Perfect for a party appetizer or a cozy meal, this dish will have everyone coming back for more! Serve it with crackers, veggies, or the bread itself for a tasty dip experience

Ingredients

Scale
  1. 1 large sourdough bread bowl
  2. 1/2 lb cooked shrimp, chopped
  3. 1/2 lb lump crab meat
  4. 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  5. 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  6. 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  7. 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
  8. 2 garlic cloves, minced
  9. 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  10. 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  11. 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Hollow out the bread bowl, leaving a sturdy shell. Set aside the removed bread pieces for dipping.
  • In a bowl, mix cream cheese, mayonnaise, mozzarella, green onions, garlic, Old Bay seasoning, smoked paprika, and lemon juice.
  • Gently fold in the shrimp and crab meat.
  • Spoon the mixture into the bread bowl, ensuring it is evenly packed.
  • Place the bread bowl on a baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes until the filling is bubbly and the top is golden brown.
  • Garnish with extra green onions and serve warm with reserved bread pieces, crackers, or vegetables.

Notes

  • Make sure to bake the bread bowl long enough for the filling to get bubbly and golden, which adds a delicious texture.
  • You can substitute the crab meat with more shrimp if preferred.
  • If you don’t have a sourdough bread bowl, any large round bread can be used as a substitute.
