These Strawberry Cheesecake Donut Holes are a perfect bite-sized treat with a sweet and creamy cheesecake filling, paired with a delicious strawberry jam topping. The fluffy dough is fried to golden perfection and stuffed with a rich cream cheese filling that everyone will love

Ingredients

Scale
  1. For the Donut Holes:

    • 2 cups all-purpose flour

    • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

    • 2 teaspoons baking powder

    • 1/2 teaspoon salt

    • 1/2 cup milk

    • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    • 1 large egg

    • Vegetable oil (for frying)

    For the Cheesecake Filling:

    • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened

    • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

    For the Strawberry Topping:

    • 1/2 cup strawberry jam

Instructions

  • Make the Donut Dough:

    • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.

    • In a separate bowl, combine the milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and egg. Mix well.

    • Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until a soft dough forms.

  • Prepare the Cheesecake Filling:

    • In a small bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth and creamy. Set aside.

  • Fry the Donut Holes:

    • Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot to 350°F (175°C).

    • With lightly floured hands, roll the dough into 1-inch balls.

    • Fry the dough balls in batches for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  • Assemble the Donut Holes:

    • Using a pastry bag fitted with a small nozzle, inject each donut hole with the cream cheese filling.

    • Warm the strawberry jam slightly and drizzle it over the filled donut holes.

  • Serve and Enjoy:

    • Serve warm and enjoy the sweet, creamy, and fruity goodness!

Notes

  • To make the filling smoother, you can add a little bit of heavy cream if desired.

  • You can substitute the strawberry jam with raspberry or blueberry jam for a different flavor profile.

  • Make sure to fry the donut holes in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan.
