Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs ground chuck
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 can crushed tomatoes
- 2 cans tomato sauce
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 5 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 large onion (or 2 medium onions), diced
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 tablespoons minced parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried sweet basil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- In an extra-large heated skillet, add olive oil and sauté diced onions and diced green peppers for 5-7 minutes on medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and cook until browned.
- Add ground chuck to the skillet and cook until browned. Drain the excess grease.
- Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, minced parsley, basil, Italian seasoning, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix to combine.
- Add crushed tomatoes and diced tomatoes, stirring well. Lastly, add the tomato sauce and stir again.
- Lower the heat and let the sauce simmer for 1 hour, allowing all the flavors to meld together.
- While the sauce simmers, boil spaghetti pasta in a large pot for 7-8 minutes. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the water to prevent the pasta from sticking together. Drain the pasta.
- Serve the spaghetti with the meat sauce.
Notes
- You can add a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese on top for extra flavor.
- Feel free to adjust the seasonings to your preference, and add extra vegetables like mushrooms or zucchini if desired.
