Ingredients

Scale
  1. 2 lbs ground chuck
  2. 1 can diced tomatoes
  3. 1 can crushed tomatoes
  4. 2 cans tomato sauce
  5. 3 tablespoons olive oil
  6. 5 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  7. 1 large onion (or 2 medium onions), diced
  8. 1 green pepper, diced
  9. 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  10. 1 teaspoon onion powder
  11. 2 tablespoons minced parsley
  12. 1 teaspoon dried sweet basil
  13. 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  14. 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  15. 1 teaspoon sea salt
  16. 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • In an extra-large heated skillet, add olive oil and sauté diced onions and diced green peppers for 5-7 minutes on medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and cook until browned.
  • Add ground chuck to the skillet and cook until browned. Drain the excess grease.
  • Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, minced parsley, basil, Italian seasoning, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix to combine.
  • Add crushed tomatoes and diced tomatoes, stirring well. Lastly, add the tomato sauce and stir again.
  • Lower the heat and let the sauce simmer for 1 hour, allowing all the flavors to meld together.
  • While the sauce simmers, boil spaghetti pasta in a large pot for 7-8 minutes. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the water to prevent the pasta from sticking together. Drain the pasta.
  • Serve the spaghetti with the meat sauce.

Notes

  • You can add a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese on top for extra flavor.
  • Feel free to adjust the seasonings to your preference, and add extra vegetables like mushrooms or zucchini if desired.
