Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, granulated sugar, and 2 tablespoons cocoa powder.
- Stir in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until a smooth batter forms.
- Spread the batter evenly into a greased 9×9-inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle the brown sugar and remaining 1/4 cup cocoa powder over the batter.
- Carefully pour the boiling water over the top of the mixture without stirring.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is set but the inside is still gooey and molten.
- Let cool slightly before serving, preferably with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence!
