  5. 1 can (4 oz) diced green chilies
  6. 2 cups beef broth
  7. 1 teaspoon chili powder
  8. 1 teaspoon cumin
  9. 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  10. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  11. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  12. Salt to taste
  13. 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Ingredients:
    • Cook the Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the diced onion until the beef is cooked through and the onion is softened. Drain any excess fat.
  • Combine Ingredients in the Slow Cooker:
    • Layer the Ingredients: Add the cooked ground beef and onion mixture to the slow cooker. Stir in the pinto beans, diced tomatoes with green chilies, diced green chilies, beef broth, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper.
