- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 onion, finely diced
- 2 cans of cream of chicken soup
- 2 small packages Grands Jr biscuits (10 biscuits)
- Flour (for coating biscuits)
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken: Place the chicken, butter, soup, and diced onion into a greased slow cooker. Add enough water to cover the ingredients.
- Cook: Secure the lid and cook on High for 5-6 hours.
- Add the Dumplings: About 30 minutes before serving, tear each biscuit into pieces and roll them in flour to prevent sticking. Drop the biscuit pieces into the slow cooker.
- Finish Cooking: Replace the lid and cook for an additional 30 minutes, or until the dumplings are fully cooked.
Notes
- The flour on the dumplings helps them maintain their shape and prevents clumping.
- You can shred the chicken after cooking for a more even distribution throughout the dish.
