Description
Philly Steak Cheese Fries combine crispy waffle fries with tender steak, sautéed onions and peppers, and melty white American cheese for an indulgent appetizer or meal.

- 1 lb steak, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 8–10 White American cheese slices
- 20 oz bag McCain Quick Cook Waffle Cut Fries
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil. Add steak, season with garlic salt and black pepper, and cook until browned. Remove steak and set aside.
- Reserve 1 tbsp of drippings in the skillet. Add bell pepper and onion, and cook until tender but still crisp. Remove and set aside.
- Layer waffle fries in the skillet, then top with 4 slices of cheese. Add steak and vegetables.
- Repeat layers and top with remaining cheese.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let cool slightly, then serve hot.
Notes
- Use ribeye or sirloin steak for best flavor.
- Substitute waffle fries with crinkle or regular fries if needed.
- Adjust cheese quantity to preference.
