Ingredients
Scale
- For the Ravioli:
- 1 lb shrimp and lobster ravioli (store-bought or homemade)
For the Creamy Garlic Butter Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a spicy kick)
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
For Garnish:
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- Extra Parmesan cheese, grated
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Ravioli
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add the ravioli and cook according to package instructions, usually 3–5 minutes.
- Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining the ravioli. Set aside.
Step 2: Make the Sauce
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Stir in the heavy cream, and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese until fully melted and smooth.
- Add the red pepper flakes (if using), and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of the reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
Step 3: Combine Ravioli and Sauce
- Gently add the cooked ravioli to the skillet with the sauce.
- Toss to coat the ravioli evenly in the creamy garlic butter sauce.
Step 4: Serve
- Plate the ravioli, spooning any remaining sauce over the top.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and a sprinkle of extra Parmesan cheese.
Notes
- For a spicier version, increase the amount of red pepper flakes.
- You can use store-bought ravioli or make homemade shrimp and lobster ravioli for a more personalized touch.
