Description

Savory Cabbage Beef Bake is a hearty and flavorful dish made with ground beef, shredded cabbage, diced tomatoes, and seasoned rice. It’s a comforting meal perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 small cabbage, shredded
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent.
  3. Stir in the shredded cabbage, diced tomatoes (with their juice), cooked rice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and paprika.
  4. Mix all ingredients well and let simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and cover with aluminum foil.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a subtle heat.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Feel free to use ground turkey or chicken instead of beef for a lighter version.
