Description

This hearty Sausage, Egg, and Cream Cheese Hashbrown Casserole is the perfect comfort meal, loaded with savory sausage, creamy eggs, and cheesy goodness. Great for breakfast, brunch, or even dinner! Quick to prepare, it will be a family favorite

Ingredients

Scale
  1. 8 large eggs

  2. 2 cups milk

  3. 2 lb. breakfast sausage (ground)

  4. 32 oz. frozen shredded hash brown potatoes

  5. 16 oz. cream cheese (softened)

  6. ¼ tsp garlic powder

  7. ¼ tsp onion powder

  8. 2 cups shredded cheese

  9. Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.

  • Saute the sausage in a skillet over medium-high heat until completely browned. Drain any excess grease.

  • Combine the cooked sausage with the softened cream cheese in a bowl.

  • In the same skillet, add the frozen hashbrowns and saute until lightly browned.

  • Layer the browned hashbrowns in the bottom of a well-greased 9×13 baking dish.

  • Top the hashbrowns with the sausage and cream cheese mixture.

  • Sprinkle shredded cheese over the meat layer.

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.

  • Pour the egg mixture over the cheese in the casserole dish.

  • Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until cooked through and golden on top.

  • Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can use any kind of shredded cheese you like, such as cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend.

  • For extra flavor, consider adding some diced bell peppers or onions to the sausage mixture.

  • You can prepare the casserole ahead of time and store it in the fridge, baking it fresh when needed.
