Description

These cheesy and flavorful sausage balls are packed with the perfect blend of sausage, cream cheese, and Rotel, making them a savory treat for parties, gatherings, or game day. Serve them with ranch dressing or hot sauce for an extra kick!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground sausage (mild, spicy, or your preference)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can (10 oz) Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies, drained
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups Bisquick mix (or any pancake/baking mix)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Optional: ranch dressing or hot sauce for dipping

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • Mix the Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground sausage, softened cream cheese, drained Rotel, shredded cheddar cheese, Bisquick mix, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Mix well until fully combined.
  • Form the Sausage Balls: Using your hands or a small cookie scoop, roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them slightly apart.
  • Bake the Sausage Balls: Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes or until the sausage balls are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm with ranch dressing or hot sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • If you prefer a spicier kick, try using hot sausage or adding extra hot sauce to the mixture.
  • You can freeze the uncooked sausage balls for later. Simply freeze them on the baking sheet, then transfer to a freezer bag. When ready to bake, just add a few extra minutes to the cooking time.
  • For a tangy twist, serve with a side of spicy ranch dressing or a dipping sauce of your choice.
