Instructions
- Preheat oven: Set the oven to 180°C (356°F). Grease a baking dish.
- Prepare the cream mixture: In a bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, melted butter, minced garlic, cheddar cheese, parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
- Slice the potatoes: Use a mandoline or sharp knife to slice the potatoes thinly. Toss the slices in the cream mixture until they are well coated.
- Assemble and bake: Stack the potato slices upright in the prepared baking dish. Pour any remaining cream mixture over the top. Season with extra salt and pepper. Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour 15 minutes until the potatoes are tender.
- Golden topping: Remove the foil, sprinkle with extra parmesan cheese, and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the top is golden brown.
- Serve: Let the dish cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
