- 1/2 cup pineapple juice
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup pineapple slice (for garnish)
For the Pineapple Glaze:
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Make Marinade: In a large bowl, whisk together pineapple juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil.
- Marinate Wings: Add the chicken wings to the marinade and toss to coat. Marinate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with vegetable oil.
- Bake Wings: Remove the wings from the marinade, letting excess liquid drip off. Place wings on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until cooked through.
- Make Pineapple Glaze: While the wings bake, prepare the pineapple glaze. In a saucepan, combine pineapple juice, honey, and soy sauce. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until thickened.
- Glaze Wings: After 30 minutes, brush the wings with the pineapple glaze and return them to the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes.
- Garnish & Serve: Garnish with a pineapple slice and serve immediately!
