Description

This Philly Cheesesteak Garlic Bread is a savory, cheesy delight! Perfect for an easy weeknight dinner or appetizer, it combines tender steak, sautéed peppers and onions, and melted provolone and mozzarella cheeses on crispy, garlic-buttered baguette.

Ingredients

Scale
  1. 1 large French baguette
  2. 1 lb ribeye steak, thinly sliced
  3. 1 tablespoon olive oil
  4. 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  5. 1 small onion, sliced
  6. 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  7. 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  8. 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  9. 2 cloves garlic, minced
  10. 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  11. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  12. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the baguette in half lengthwise and place on a baking sheet.
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add steak, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Remove steak and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, sauté onions and bell peppers until softened.
  • Stir in Worcestershire sauce and return the steak to the skillet. Mix well.
  • In a small bowl, combine melted butter and minced garlic. Brush onto the cut sides of the bread.
  • Spread the steak mixture evenly over the bread.
  • Sprinkle provolone and mozzarella cheese on top.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Slice and serve warm.

Notes

  • You can substitute the ribeye steak with flank steak or sirloin if preferred.
  • Feel free to add sautéed mushrooms for extra flavor.
  • For extra crispy garlic bread, broil for 1-2 minutes after baking.
