Description

Ingredients

  • 125g golden syrup
  • 75g butter
  • 50g caster sugar
  • 1 tablespoon chopped nasturtium flowers
  • ½ teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
  • 225g self-raising flour

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients except flour in a saucepan, heat gently and stir until melted and combined.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the flour.
  3. Roll dough into half golf ball-sized balls and place on lined baking trays.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes.
  5. Let cool slightly on trays, sprinkling with extra petals.
  6. Transfer to wire racks to cool completely.

  • Use fresh, pesticide-free nasturtium flowers for the best flavor and safety.
  • You can freeze the dough balls and bake from frozen—just add 1–2 extra minutes of baking time.
