Description

These Peanut Butter & Pumpkin Pup Donuts are the perfect treat for your furry friend! Made with wholesome ingredients like whole wheat flour, pumpkin purée, and peanut butter, these dog-friendly donuts are a delicious snack that will keep their tails wagging! Top them off with a creamy Greek yogurt and peanut butter drizzle for an extra special treat.

Ingredients

    1. 1 cup whole wheat flour

    2. ½ teaspoon baking powder

    3. ¼ teaspoon cinnamon

    4. ½ cup pure pumpkin purée (not pie filling)

    5. ¼ cup unsweetened applesauce

    6. ¼ cup natural peanut butter (xylitol-free)

    7. 1 egg

Topping (optional):

    • ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt

    • 1 tablespoon peanut butter (melted for drizzle)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven – Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a donut pan.

  • Mix the ingredients – In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and cinnamon. In a separate bowl, combine pumpkin, applesauce, peanut butter, and egg. Gradually combine the wet and dry ingredients until a dough forms.

  • Fill the donut pan – Spoon the mixture into the greased donut cavities, smoothing the tops.

  • Bake – Place in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until firm and golden brown. Let cool completely.

  • Add toppings – If using, spread Greek yogurt on top and drizzle with melted peanut butter. Let set before serving.

  • Serve & watch the tail wags! Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days

Notes

  • Make sure to use xylitol-free peanut butter, as xylitol is toxic to dogs.

  • You can freeze these donuts for longer storage.

  • If your dog has dietary restrictions, consult your vet before making new treats.
