Description

A rich, fluffy peanut butter frosting perfect for cakes, cupcakes, and brownies, made with creamy peanut butter, powdered sugar, and a touch of vanilla.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup salted butter, softened (1 stick)
  • 2 cups confectioners sugar (powdered sugar)
  • 34 tablespoons milk or water
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Cream the peanut butter and softened butter in a medium bowl using an electric mixer until smooth.
  2. Add the powdered sugar, 3 tablespoons of milk (or water), and the vanilla extract.
  3. Mix on low speed for 1 minute, then increase to medium speed and mix until the frosting is well combined and fluffy.
  4. If the frosting is too thick, add the remaining tablespoon of milk to thin it out to the desired consistency.

Notes

  • Use milk for a creamier texture, or water for a slightly lighter version.
  • Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week; bring to room temperature and re-whip before using.
  • Perfect for chocolate or banana cakes and cupcakes.
