Description

A rich, creamy peanut butter frosting made with simple ingredients, perfect for topping cakes, cupcakes, and brownies.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup salted butter, softened (1 stick)
  • 2 cups confectioners sugar (powdered sugar)
  • 34 tablespoons milk or water
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, cream together the peanut butter and softened butter using an electric mixer until smooth and well combined.
  2. Add the confectioners sugar, 3 tablespoons of milk or water, and the vanilla extract.
  3. Mix on low speed for 1 minute to incorporate, then increase to medium speed and mix until the frosting is fluffy and smooth.
  4. If the frosting is too thick, add the additional tablespoon of milk or water and mix until the desired consistency is reached.

Notes

  • Use milk for a creamier texture, or water for a lighter version.
