Description
This sweet and spicy Peach Jalapeno Jam combines juicy peaches with a kick of heat from jalapenos, creating a perfect balance of flavor. Great for spreading on toast, adding to charcuterie boards, or as a unique gift!
Ingredients
5–6 medium peaches
4-5 small jalapenos (seeded and chopped)
1 tbsp lemon zest
2 tbsp lemon juice
3 cups granulated sugar
Instructions
-
Peel, pit, and finely chop peaches. Seed and chop jalapenos.
-
In a saucepan, combine peaches, jalapenos, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
-
Stir in sugar until dissolved. Maintain a rolling boil for 15-20 minutes, until thickened.
-
Test doneness: Jam should coat a spoon without dripping.
-
Pour hot jam into sterilized jars, leaving ¼-inch space. Seal and cool.
Notes
-
For a milder jam, reduce the amount of jalapenos or remove the seeds.
-
Sterilize jars by placing them in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes before filling.
-
This jam can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks or sealed in jars for longer shelf life.
