Ingredients
Scale
-
For the donuts:
- 1 can biscuit dough (or homemade dough) – for a golden, crispy base
- Oil – for frying
For the cheesecake filling:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened – rich and creamy
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar – adds sweetness
- 1 tsp vanilla extract – for a warm, aromatic flavor
For the peach cobbler filling:
- 2 cups diced peaches (fresh or canned) – juicy and sweet
- 1/4 cup brown sugar – enhances the caramelized flavor
- 1 tsp cinnamon – a hint of spice
- 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water – thickens the filling
Instructions
- Fry the donuts:
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or skillet to 350°F (175°C).
- Flatten the biscuit dough slightly and fry until golden brown and puffed, about 2–3 minutes per side.
- Drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
- Prepare the cheesecake filling:
- In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Make the peach cobbler filling:
- Combine the diced peaches, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
- Cook, stirring occasionally, until the peaches soften and the mixture starts to bubble.
- Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook for 1–2 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Combine the fillings:
- Mix the cooled peach cobbler filling with the cheesecake filling. Transfer the mixture to a piping bag fitted with a round tip.
- Fill the donuts:
- Use a small knife to make a hole in each donut. Pipe the peach cobbler cheesecake filling into the center until the donut feels full.
- Serve:
- Enjoy warm for a gooey filling or cooled for a firmer texture. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with glaze for extra sweetness.
Notes
- Use store-bought biscuit dough for convenience, or make your favorite homemade dough for a personal touch.
- For a more indulgent treat, top the donuts with a glaze made of powdered sugar and milk.
