This creamy, cheesy pasta dish combines the rich flavors of white cheddar and mozzarella with perfectly cooked pasta. Easy to make in just one pan, it’s a delicious, no-fuss meal your whole family will love!
1 pound pasta (penne, rotini, or similar)
2 cups milk
1 cup shredded white cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook the Garlic: Melt the butter in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
Combine the Ingredients: Add the pasta, milk, white cheddar, and mozzarella cheese to the skillet. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
Season: Add salt and pepper to taste, stirring well.
Bake: Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pasta is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly. Stir halfway through the baking time to ensure even cooking.
Serve: Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
If you prefer a thicker consistency, you can reduce the amount of milk slightly or use half-and-half.
For extra flavor, you can top the dish with freshly chopped herbs like basil or parsley before serving.
You can add cooked chicken, sausage, or vegetables for a more hearty meal.
