Description
A comforting one-pan dish with ground meat, tender potatoes, and a creamy sauce. Perfect for a quick and easy meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground meat (beef, turkey, chicken, or pork)
- 12 small potatoes, diced
- 1 can cream soup (cream of mushroom, chicken, or celery)
- 3/4 cup milk (or substitute with water mixed with sour cream)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: Shredded cheese, herbs, or frozen veggies for extra flavor
Instructions
- Brown the Meat: Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground meat and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Cook the Potatoes: Add the diced potatoes directly into the skillet with the browned meat. Stir occasionally and cook until the potatoes are tender (about 15–20 minutes). If needed, add a splash of water and cover the pan to help the potatoes cook faster.
- Make it Creamy: Once the potatoes are tender, stir in the cream soup and milk (or water and sour cream mixture). Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes until everything is heated through and creamy.
- Season & Serve: Season with salt and pepper to taste. For extra flavor, sprinkle shredded cheese on top and let it melt before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to substitute the ground meat with your favorite protein or plant-based alternatives.
- If you want a faster meal, use frozen diced potatoes instead of fresh ones.
- Optional veggies such as peas, corn, or carrots can be added for extra nutrition and flavor.
- This recipe is very versatile—add your preferred herbs or spices to suit your taste.
