Description

  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 4 slices fresh mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

  1. Prepare chicken: Season chicken cutlets with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  2. Cook chicken: Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken until golden and cooked through, about 4–5 minutes per side. Top each cutlet with a slice of mozzarella cheese, cover skillet, and let cheese melt.
  3. Make sauce: In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté briefly. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Add Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Simmer until sauce thickens slightly.
  4. Add basil: Stir in chopped fresh basil just before serving.
  5. Serve: Spoon basil cream sauce over the mozzarella-topped chicken.
